Academy of Television Arts and Sciences

The mission of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences is to promote creativity, diversity, innovation and excellence through recognition, education and leadership in the advancement of the telecommunications arts and sciences. Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Foundation

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation utilizes the resources and membership of the Television Academy to develop and sponsor educational and archival programs. The Foundation addresses a variety of issues including career guidance, student achievement, personal skill development, diversity and the documentation of television's evolution. A non-profit organization, our primary focus is to use the history and artistry of television to preserve our past for posterity, and guide those who will be our future.

Reveille International

Reveille is a leading independent production and distribution company focused on exploiting worldwide intellectual property rights through scripted and alternative television formats. Motion Picture Assn. of America

The Motion Picture Association (MPA) represents the interests of major motion picture companies in the global marketplace. On behalf of its member companies, the MPA conducts investigations around the world, assists with the criminal and civil litigation generated by such cases, and conducts education outreach programs to teach movie fans around the world about the harmful effects of piracy. The MPA directs its worldwide anti-piracy operations from its headquarters based in Los Angeles, California and has regional offices located in Brussels (Europe, Middle East and Africa), São Paulo (Latin America), Montreal (Canada) and Singapore (Asia-Pacific). The MPA’s anti-piracy activities have helped to transform entire markets from pirate to legitimate, benefiting video distributors, retailers, and foreign and local filmmakers alike. Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA)

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) is the trade group that represents the U.S. recording industry. Its mission is to foster a business and legal climate that supports and promotes our members' creative and financial vitality. Its members are the record companies that comprise the most vibrant national music industry in the world. RIAA members create, manufacture and/or distribute approximately 90% of all legitimate sound recordings produced and sold in the United States. In support of this mission, the RIAA works to protect intellectual property rights worldwide and the First Amendment rights of artists; conducts consumer, industry and technical research; and monitors and reviews state and federal laws, regulations and policies. The RIAA® also certifies Gold®, Platinum®, Multi-Platinum™, and Diamond sales awards, as well as Los Premios De Oro y Platino™, an award celebrating Latin music sales.

European Music Council (EMC)

The European Music Council (EMC), a Regional Group of the International Music Council (IMC). It was formed upon request of the Director General of UNESCO as the advisory body to the agency on music matters. The second World Forum on Music, organised by the IMC will take place from 11-14 October 2007 in Beijing, China. Please find further information here. The European Commission has published a "Communication for a European agenda for culture in a globalizing world". The communication was preceeded by an online consultation with stakeholders from the European cultural field.

International Webmasters Assn. Member

Global Leader for Advancing the Web Professional IWA, a non-profit professional association, is the industry's recognized leader in providing educational and certification standards for Web professionals. IWA's initiatives now support more than 100 official chapters representing over 160,000 individual members in 106 countries. IWA's accomplishments include the industry's first guidelines for ethical and professional standards, Web certification and education programs, specialized employment resources, and technical assistance to individuals and businesses.

LA Press Club

The almost 500-member Los Angeles Press Club has outlived most of the city's newspapers, having been launched shortly after 1900 when Wilshire Boulevard was still a dirt trail to the ocean and the most gracious mansions in the city were on knolls immediately surrounding downtown. Leading up to World War I, the club was located above Dick Ferris' office on 327 South Hill Street downtown, and served as a gathering spot for journalists in the rowdy days when a half-dozen daily newspapers, loudly promoting their sometimes extreme political views, served the small but fast-growing city.

Radio TV News Assn. of SoCal

California State Firefighters Association (CSFA)

received a CSFA Medal of Valor Award
for rescuing a noted Cardiovascular Radiologist at UCLA Medical Center, when he was trapped in a burning vehicle at the break of dawn. McQuade heard an explosion and dragged the doctor out of his SUV before it exploded into a fireball saving the doctors' life.
