Austin, TX – Entrepreneur and Artist Paula Parker, owner of Paula
Parker Designs, Austin, TX, donated an art piece to a Fort Worth, Texas gymnastics school today.
“The Little Gym
of Fort Worth, TX, a children’s gymnastics school, is a great organization
and I am delighted to donate my artwork as a token of my appreciation,” explained Paula Parker, Owner, Paula Parker Designs,
Austin,
TX. “It is a worthy
cause, and I love to see children get more interested in gymnastics, especially
after watching the just-ended Summer Olympics in Beijing.”
Parker
donated one of her original artworks to the gym, after the Dallas Metrocon ’08
convention earlier this month. A visitor approached the Paula Parker Designs booth and purchased a painting. The buyer,
Brette Corder, is also the owner of The
Little Gym of Fort Worth, a children’s gymnastics gym, which is having a customer
appreciation this week (August 25th- 31st), allowing parents of some
600 kids already registered for fall classes to celebrate.
“The
mother loved my floral art, Plaster Mache
Floral Sculpture, and she bought it for her daughter's bedroom, and I donated
a piece, valued at $500.00 for their event,” said Parker, who has also written
Art in Austin…Volume I, which features artists from Austin, TX. “I’m now looking for corporate sponsors for a new
book coming out later this year representing artists in Texas, too,” she said.
I
am delighted to feature the new Paula Parker Designs publication Art in Austin, the registry (Volume One),” said Parker. “I also
enjoy the original canvas art of Austin Artist ‘Matchi,’ including a Stevie Ray
Vaughan portrait, of which I have posted on our website at: http://www.paulaparkerdesigns.com,
she said. “ I am confident everyone will enjoy original 3-D artwork from my "Prologue"
collection, which is also located at my website.”
