THE GAS COMPANY’S ENERGY EFFICIENCY EXPO TO FEATURE KEYNOTE ADDRESS FROM JACK KYSER

 

LOS ANGELES, March 20, 2007 -- Jack Kyser, senior vice president and chief economist for the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC), will provide the keynote address at the second annual Energy Efficiency Expo, hosted by Southern California Gas Co. (The Gas Company).

 

WHAT:          

 

The Energy Efficiency Expo is a forum to help businesses take advantage of the economic and environmental benefits of energy efficiency.  The Gas Company is offering more than $10 million in energy-efficiency rebates and incentives for businesses – the highest level of funding for such programs ever.

 

Kyser’s speech will provide an economic business outlook for Southern California with an emphasis on energy issues – including Assembly Bill 32, California’s Global Warming Solutions Act, which requires a 25-percent cut in carbon-dioxide emissions produced within the state by 2020.
