***

“International Cooperation Nabs Terrorist Plot”

Los Angeles, CA - August 10, 2006 – With cooperation among the U.S., the British, and the Pakistani intelligence forces, a major terrorist plot has been thwarted. Advantage SCI, is a small business provider of services in Homeland Security, Corporate Security Strategies, Physical Security, Information Technology Security, Counterterrorism, Counter Espionage, Executive Leadership Development, Intelligence and Law Enforcement Services, and Professional Development and Training based on global experience, knows very well the importance of  international cooperation and intelligence sharing.

“In my 20 years as a Counter Terrorist Agent for the US Army, I worked with many international intelligence forces resulting in the capture of terrorists and the deterrence of several terrorist plots” says Elsa Lee, CEO and President of Advantage SCI. Lee continues “this type of intelligence sharing and cooperation can also work in the business world and the private sector to prevent asset loss and corporate espionage.”

Through awareness and training, business owners can help reduce their risk to attacks from terrorism, viruses and hackers, workplace violence, corporate spies, and other threats that can translate into loss of business or loss of business assets. Being aware of the potential for loss is key to detecting and deterring future attacks; training is the second key. The more a business owner understands the risks—where they come from, who the perpetrators are, and what you can do to defend against these attacks, the better they will be able to defend against them. Training can transfer the knowledge necessary to understand these risks and gives the business owner the tools to create a working environment where employees and management work together, sharing information, and creating a safer work environment for everyone. Advantage SCI uses technical and behavioral science methodologies to transfer knowledge that can be applied to implement critical change needed to mitigate today’s risks.

Advantage SCI’s consulting and training services have resulted in terrorism and disaster preparedness for government agencies and private businesses since it was established in 2000.  Their technical and behavioral science methods enable clients to effectively implement critical change needed to mitigate risk in a way that Lee says was never before possible.

ASCI’s clients are agencies with multi-billion dollar assets and vital national security missions like the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Army, University of Southern California’s Homeland Security Center of Excellence, and top Forbes companies like Skechers USA, Inc.
