Below is a summary of the various activities MAYO Communications conducted to promote Chris Becker & Associates, Inc. Produced several news releases to create a buzz in Washington D.C. on the renewed Interest in the Rail Study OnTrac released on 9-11. Distributed to more than 200 media regionally and several thousand business and transportation editors and trades nationally.

Media coverage included:

  • Los Angeles Times Business Orange County Edition - working on a series of stories.
  • Orange County Register, Washington DC Tad Vezner, also did not report on the more interesting activities we pitched to him; however he did seem somewhat interested in the rail study renewed interest for awhile.
  • Press Enterprise did an in-depth article that has been one of the most positive and far reaching of recent events. We will continue to pitch them great story ideas.
  • Las Vegas Sun (DC Bureau) called about the rail study and we're still trying to reconnect to do an interview on the rail study and the renewed interest in Washington DC
  • Engineering News called about the same story and did an interview with you. Still efforting the article.
  • KNBC-TV plans to book in the near future "Today In LA Weekend" interview, but waiting for an opening on Saturday or Sunday.
  • City News Service (OC Bureau) has been running our news release information. CNS spoon feeds most of the Broadcast and some of the newspapers in the Southland.
  • Orange County Business Journal conducted an interview and will watch for its publication.
  • LA Opinion interviewed you today, and the indepth article should be coming out next week.
  • Los Angeles Times conducted interviews with Economist Jack Kyser and LAEDC staff and are doing a series of stories that will be pulished in the Business section of the Los Angeles Times and on the website www.LATimes.com
  • Los Angeles Business Journal conducted interviews with staff and Jack Kyser to write an advanced story for the LABJ’s Monday July 21st issue. The story was published for the embargoed date. The morning of the release, another LABJ reporter called for the forecast and to ask if we could subscribe him to the Business Beat. 
  • Los Angeles News Paper Group (Daily News, Long Beach Press Telegram, Riverside Press Enterprise, The Daily Inland Bulletin and other business editors conducted interviews with staff and Jack Kyser to write an indepth story for the Los Angeles Newspaper Group.
  • KFWB 980 News AM conducted an interview with Jack Kyser the Friday before the event and the embargoed story until the morning of July 21st. The story was also placed on the KFWB website at: www.kfwb.com.
  • KNX News interviewed Economist Jack Kyser for stories that aired the morning of the embargo.  The series of stories aired the afternoon of May 19th.
  • ]KFI 640 AM News Reporter Jay Lawrence interviewed Jack Kyser on the “Mid-year Forecast.” Several stories aired the afternoon of July 21st. KFI, which has the strongest broadcast signal (50,000 watts) in the nation.
  • Associated Press (AP) Business Writer Alex Veiga the story for AP print and broadcast members in California that was picked up by numerous newspaper members.
  • U.S. Japan Weekly, Inc., is based in Los Angeles with a circulation of 41,000. It is distributed throughout the U.S. and Japan and they published the story from the Business Beat using Jack Kyser and your quotes.
